The last of the 214

Hardly a week goes by when I don’t receive an email asking if a favourite fell from the Wainwrights in Colour project is available for sale. This possibly arises from those people who have bought a copy of the book and not found the details on this website regarding the original works. When I had the exhibiton at The Rheged Discovery Centre back in 2009 many of the fells of the 214 were quickly bought or reserved, most likely because of the fact that these were to be one off original works, never to go into print or copied.

Now that the book has been published it has re-invigorated the interest in my original paintings. Fortunately for me the majority of the fells are now in customers homes. From the mighty Great Gable to the lesser fells such as Armboth Fell each has a special place in clients homes.

However, I do have just two fells left for sale. They are Knott and Bakestall and currently they hang in my studio.

Knott and Bakestall, The Wainwrights in Colour, Andy Beck Artist.

There is no rhyme or reason as to why these two fells from the Northern region are left unsold, both fells have merit and as you can see, both have a variety of subjects in the sketches. But there they hang for now until someone decides that they would like to join the exclusive club- the 150 or so customers who are lucky enough to own original works from The Wainwrights in Colour project. Once they are gone, they are gone.

If you would be interested in buying one of these works then the details are here, click on the link for each fell to see the sketches and the details regarding size and price. The just drop me an email info@andybeckimages.co.uk
